Chocolate Dipped Sugar Cookies

Would you believe even Culinary Cory doesn’t always have time to cook everything from scratch? Dare I say I occasionally turn to the semi-homemade way to save a little time? Insert screaming and crying here.
The holidays have been pretty busy for me with a ton of things to do and little time to do them. So when Brent mentioned he needed cookies for an exchange party, I didn’t want to stay up in the wee hours to bake them and only end up with a dirty kitchen afterward.
I honestly wasn’t planning on posting this, but I thought it would be a creative idea for all those time-pressed cooks out there. Simply dip freshly baked sugar cookies in chocolate to add a new level of flavor. Then chill in the fridge to give the chocolate a chance to set. Sure people will probably figure out they are made from premade dough, but the visual is still pretty darn cool.
The best part about these cookies was I baked and Brent dipped them in chocolate. All that teamwork led to more time to take pictures, writing about the end results and eating a few. Happy Cookie Baking!

I don’t know if I’m screaming, but I certainly am GASPING!
I hope you at LEAST used the Giradelli 60% Cocoa Chips!
You DID didn’t you?
Just say yes – it’ll be better for me.
Of course I used Giradelli 60% Cocoa! Or at least that’s what you want to hear Mary.
Works for me!!
I mean even if I do make the from scratch.
I like this idea, even if I don’t make them from scratch.
LOL, what a great trick, I mean tip :-p. Have a wonderful Christmas my friend
