The Beauty of Everyday Food

It should be no surprise to hear that I cook all the time. But for various reasons, there are many meals that do not find its way on this site. They either (A) so common, the recipe isn’t worth sharing, (B) I wasn’t in the mood to write the recipe down, (C) it smelled so good, I just had to eat it right away.
While I have no intentions of posting recipes for these everyday meals, I still take the opportunity to snap a couple of pictures. It gives me a chance to play around with camera angles and background ideas. Sometimes I find myself learning so much more because I don’t have the pressure of making the food look perfect for a post.
You will typically find me posting random pictures of my everyday cooking on the Culinary Cory Facebook Page. But I thought I would share a select few of the most stunning photos with you here.
Bamboo French Bread Slicer: My friend Josh gave me this wonderful bamboo piece for my birthday. It’s perfect for serving long loaves of French bread and the notches are perfect for even slicing.
Pigs in a Blanket: I wanted to have munchies for dinner one night. Simple premade crescent dough rolled with mini sausages did just the trick. These were yummy dipped in honey mustard.
Impromptu Pizza: What better way to clean out the fridge than with a pizza? This one is topped with crushed pineapple, ham, fresh basil, fresh red peppers and homemade sauce.
Classic BLT Sandwich: When I have leftover bacon, I turn to this classic sandwich for a quick and easy lunch option.

Great photos, and blog:)
Wow! I do the same thing, however, YOUR everyday food looks insanely good! Mine is kind of boring and plain. That BLT looks out of control delicious.
How does anyone ever have bacon LEFT? It’s too good to have any left unless you make it in mass quantities. I’m staring at my juvenile tomato plants now in anticipation of the first BL real Tomato sandwich for the season.
I’m the same way, some of our dinners are old standbys, that I think aren’t blogworthy and so stay off the site. You found a nice way to highlight them.
I love the bamboo bread slicer! I have to have one now
Great pics cory!
Hey Amanda: It’s a wonderful bread slicer. Adds a nice earthy charm to the table.
